Entendendo a atitude ao endividamento: fatores comportamentais e variáveis socioeconômicas o determinam?

A compreensão dos aspectos inerentes à dívida é um tema muito discutido na academia, todavia, são poucos os estudos que relacionam aspectos comportamentais e socioeconômicos à atitude ao endividamento. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho é identificar a influência de fatores comportamentais e de variáveis socioeconômicas na atitude ao endividamento. Para isso foram pesquisadas 1.468 pessoas, residentes em 31 municípios pertencentes à Mesorregião Centro Ocidental Rio-grandense. Para análise dos dados, realizou-se a estatística descritiva, os testes de diferença de média (teste t e Post Hoc) e a análise de regressão linear. Os principais resultados revelam que, em média, os entrevistados não possuem tendência ao acúmulo de dívida, não são tolerantes ao risco, possuem uma baixa atitude ao endividamento, uma adequada atitude financeira, não são compradores compulsivos e detêm um bom comportamento financeiro. Por fim, identificou-se que os homens devem preocupar-se de maneira mais efetiva com a manutenção de uma boa atitude financeira, bem como evitar as compras compulsivas e manter um comportamento financeiro adequado.
