Abstract

In the editorial notes for the previous issue, we included some considerations about RESI's evaluation in Qualis (an assessment system developed by CAPES, Brazil's scientific research funding agency. At that time, we tried to identify the other journals where RESI's authors published their papers. We found out that, in general, they published their work in journals that are ranked better than RESI, itself. In our evaluation, this is a clear evidence that they consider RESI to be as good as the other journals where they publish or, at least, that it has the potential to become as good as such journals. The full analysis is available here (in Portuguese).

We would now like to present another assessment, which provides even stronger evidence of RESI's impact in the scientific community: we checked the impact factor of all Brazilian academinc journals ranked in Qualis in the Business/Administration area, based on Google Scholar data. This base, of course, has its limitations, but so do the JCR and the SCImago databases. Besides, it is the most inclusive and democratic of all indexing databases and allows the indexing results to be audited by anyone. One only needs to use Publish Or Perish (PoP), to get the citation indexes or perform a direct search on Google Scholar to have an idea of how often a journal is being sited on the web.

RESI is among the most cited Brazilian business journals. It is one of the twenty Brazilian journals that received more than 100 citations in Google Scholar, over the last 10 years.

Congratulations to all those involved with the success of the journal over the years!
