PRINCIPLES AND TRENDS IN GREEN CLOUD COMPUTING

Abstract

Cloud computing and green IT are two areas of computer science that are receiving increasing attention and are considered a priority for the development of computer systems. Green Cloud Computing approach takes the concepts of the two areas with the goal of providing a flexible and efficient computing environment. This article presents the fundamental principles and state of the art technologies that enable the green cloud computing, referencing some of the latest proposals from several authors and offering an overview which may serve as a framework for future research.
