Abstract

Social Network Analysis is a field that is expanding quickly, involving an increasing number of researchers from different fields, among which: computation, mathematics, medicine, biology, business and social sciences. We hope that these two special issues that RESI is releasing on this topic (v. 14, n. 1 and v. 14, n. 2) help to shed light on the good research work that has been developed in recent years in Brazil, exploring the multidisciplinarity that characterizes studies in electronic social networks. The papers that we are publishing here are expanded versions of work that was originally presented at Brasnam, the Brazilian Workshop on Social Network Analysis and Mining, promoted by the Brazilian Computation Society (SBC), which is going to its 4th issue, in 2015.
