About this issue
Abstract
In its first issue of 2009, Revista Eletrônica de Sistemas de Informação innovates once again: now, in addition to the fact of having always been fully digital since it started in 2002, the journal is edited using an ecological font: Spranq Eco Sans. This means that, if the reader decides to print the content of this edition, s/he will spent 15 to 20% less ink. This is part of our modest contribution to making our world more sustainable.
In this edition, once again, we are happy to include papers written by some notorious researchers, which is an honour for RESI, but also deserved the trust of the organizers of the fifth Information Systems Symposium (SBSI), who recommended the best papers presented in the event to be considered by our referees and editorial board.
The three first papers in this issue came from SBSI and were reviewed by means of a “super fast track”. The other papers were processed by means of our tradicional channel, which, comparatively to other journals, also represents a “fast track”. After all, while most academic journals in Brazil are "loaded" with papers in the evaluation process, taking almost two years to provide writers with due feedback, Resi received about thirty papers to review in the last six months. Among those, seven were chosen to be included in this issue, many having undergone several interaction steps between authors, reviewers and editor in order to mature for publication. And even so, everything happened within a few months! Even authors that did not have their papers accepted received fast feedback, with the reasons for the paper not being accepted.
The journal does not have any backlog and is completely free to receive fresh papers and help their authors to turn them fast into quality work for publication. Please, feel invited to submit your contribution, in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
Have a good reading.
