In these articles we identified the proposed objectives, the research methods adopted and the main results obtained. We categorized the 72 articles into eight subjects related to IT investments. The highest number of studies concerns the influencing factors of IT investments, and these factors are related mainly to people involved in the decision-making process and users of IT. The second most researched subject deals with the relationship between IT investment and organizational performance, with articles presenting the benefits generated by IT investments.
