Abstract

The research evolution on entrepreneurship dealing with affect indicates its potential for advancing this field of knowledge. This article seeks to build an integrated overview of academic production on entrepreneurship and affect, identifying and discussing new perspectives to guide the development of future research. Thus, a systematic review of academic productions on the subject was carried out. The research results produce an updated and integrated knowledge about the role of affection in entrepreneurship, as well the relevances of affect in research on entrepreneurship. In addition, the research results provide us with perspectives for stimulating and guiding future research based on an discussion about challenges for current academic production, about affect theories (multiple phenomena and affective practice) and about entrepreneurship contexts (social, cultural and artistic).
